Abstract: Modern e-Learning faces problems related to the creation of personalized learning environment that correspond to learners’ needs and preferences. Learning Management Systems provide opportunities for delivering diverse educational content and learning activities allowing their non-linear viewing and performance by learners, which is a prerequisite for personalization of the learning path. Personalized learning path increases students’ motivation and activity and gives them opportunities to build their own strategy for learning. The aim of the current work is to present the potential of Learning Management Systems for personalizing the learning path via conditional release of course materials. The tools for conditional release available in one of the most popular learning environment Moodle are discussed. Additional criteria for conditional provision of educational content and activities that enrich its functionality are proposed.
